Canadian Western Mechanical Ltd. is a well-established company based in Quesnel, British Columbia. We specialize in design/build, installation, maintenance, and servicing of plumbing and HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) mechanical systems.

After a long career working as a gas-fitter and pipe-fitter for Alcan in Kitimat, and Cariboo Pulp & Paper in Quesnel, Dave Tolhurst decided he was ready for a change. In 1981, he bought up a small residential heating repair company called "Quesnel Oil Burner Service". At that time, Dave had just one rusty old pick-up truck with himself as the only employee. With increasing availability of natural gas in the North Cariboo region, Dave expanded his operation and renamed the company Quesnel Oil & Gas. As the company grew, additional services were offered - plumbing, fabricating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. In the year 2000, the company name was again changed to Canadian Western Mechanical to more accurately reflect the services the company was now offering, and the markets in which it operates. Dave's company now serves the entire province of British Columbia, with crews often working throughout Western Canada.

Today, Canadian Western Mechanical is a full-service HVACR and plumbing contractor employing up to twenty-five employees during peak construction periods. The modern warehouse complex on Front Street in Quesnel features a bright, spacious showroom showcasing many of North America's biggest and best known brand names of plumbing and heating products. The company has been built on a strong reputation for quality and service. A close relationship with manufacturers ensures employees are well informed on products and applications, and that customers have a solid, reliable and expedient source for replacement parts if needed.
